About Parents Helping Parents (PHP) San Jose

Parents Helping Parents has supported Bay Area families of children with special needs since 1976, and most of its staff are parents of kids with disabilities themselves. Book a free one-on-one with a resource specialist for help after a new diagnosis, special education and IEPs, Regional Center services, public benefits and finding local resources. PHP also runs free, confidential parent support groups (most meet monthly on Zoom), workshops such as IEP collaboration, an online resource directory and an events calendar. Help is available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Main office at the Sobrato Center in San Jose is by appointment; drop-in hours are also offered in Gilroy and East San Jose.
