About Sunnyvale Kids Klub & Teen Hangout (Therapeutic Recreation)
Sunnyvale’s Therapeutic Recreation programs are designed for individuals with disabilities. Kids Klub (ages 8–14) offers group games, arts and crafts and activities focused on social interaction, following directions, cooperation and decision making, with a 4:1 participant-to-staff ratio. Teen Hangout (ages 15–22) is an afternoon of games, active play, arts and crafts, music and socializing, with an 8:1 ratio. Participants bring a snack and must be independent with personal care or bring an attendant.
