About Memorial Park All-Abilities Playground (San Leandro)
San Leandro’s all-abilities playground at Memorial Park reopened in fall 2025 after a full renovation. Ramps reach most of the play structures, and there’s an in-ground, wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round, a four-person teeter-totter, an oversized xylophone and other musical instruments, a color wheel, a periscope and a funhouse mirror. Play panels include braille and American Sign Language. Big trees and redwoods give good shade, and the new restrooms have adult and child changing stations. The playground isn’t fenced and has no separate toddler area, so it suits preschoolers and older kids best.
