About Mia’s Dream Come True All-Abilities Playground

Mia’s Dream Come True is a fully gated, wheelchair-accessible playground inside Tennyson Park, built so kids of every ability can play side by side. Play structures are themed on Hayward landmarks: whale climbers, a fire-truck playhouse, an airplane swing set, a water-tower slide and a barn with a caterpillar climber. There are all-abilities, bucket and standard swings plus a Liberty Swing that fits a wheelchair, soft rubber and turf surfacing, a musical play area, a reading nook with free little libraries and a climbing rock. The boat and whales have water misters (it is not a splash pad). Free, no reservations needed.
